Many homeowners believe they have metal ductwork because they see metal when looking down a vent. However, what you see is likely a metal boot. Most of the time, this metal boot connects to flexible ductwork, which then runs into a trunk line. The trunk line, responsible for handling the highest volume of air, can often have fiberglass lining on the inside.

At HCDC, we use specialized techniques to carefully clean and apply a protective coating to the inside of fiberglass ducts. Cleaning fiberglass ducts incorrectly can cause damage or release harmful fibers into the air, which you could then breathe in.
